eing a mud engineer means I have to stay on drilling locations from 1-2 weeks at a time if not more. Accomidations on location can sometimes be cramped so I bring a bare minimum of exercise equipment.
Wieght vests are a great addition to your personal equipment. I wear one with 40 pounds 12 hours a day. Up and down stairs all day is a good little workout. I tend to keep the TV going in my office while I work and at every commercial break I do 30 push ups and 60 crunches on an exercise ball. I also sit on the exercise ball while I work on the computer and roll side to side working my core muscles. Befor I eat I do 50 jumping jacks, 20 push ups and 40 crunches. Befor I go to bed and when I wake I do 50 push up, 100 crunches, 20 4 count leg lifts, 20 4 count side leg lifts, 20 4 count flutter kicks.
Along with the vest and exercise ball I also bring 15 & 5 pound dumbells. I shadow box every day for 20 minutes with the 5 pounders. Every other day I do burn outs (lifting light wieght until muscle failure) of the following exercises with the 15 pounders. Curls, bench press, siting over head press, bent over rows, stand straight arm front lifts and bent over flys. This takes aprox 35-40 minutes.
