The Illinois State Athletic Commission will host a mixed martial arts training seminar on Sunday, November 8, 2009 at the Holiday Inn Hotel and Suites in Elgin, Illinois. If you plan to officiate for the State of Illinois during mixed martial arts events your attendance at this seminar is encouraged.
We are pleased to have John McCarthy, world renowned mixed martial arts referee and current training facility owner, here to train current and potential mixed martial arts judges. Participants that attend this seminar will receive a certificate of attendance. Please complete the attached registration form and mail it back to the office. All registration forms must be in the office by Tuesday, October 27, 2009 to ensure enough seating is available for all attendees.
The office is attempting to obtain discounted tickets for those attending the training to the Strike Force event which will be held on Saturday, November 7th, at the Sears Centre Arena in Hoffman Estates, Illinois. More information will follow as it become available. This event will be broadcast live on CBS and Showtime. The Sears Centre Arena is located approximately seven miles from the Holiday Inn Hotel and Suites.
The Holiday Inn Hotel and Suites is located at 495 Airport Road, Elgin, IL 60123, (847) 488-9000. A block rooms is being held under “MMA TRAINING” at a rate of $79.00 and $89.00 for Jr. Suite. There are a limited number of rooms at this rate so make your arrangements early. The cut off date on the room’s rate is October 23, 2009. After that date the $ 79.00 and $ 89.00 rate will no longer be available.
